So the Super king Deluxe Extra contains a lot of memory foam. How does that help me sleep?

Memory foam is fast becoming the benchmark in the UK mattress and bed industry, and it’s simple to see why. Memory foam offers a huge advantage over sprung mattresses. If you have ever lain on a sprung mattress and felt uncomfortable you will know exactly what I mean. When you lie on a sprung mattress your weight pushes down on the springs. The springs then push back against your weight and can cause pressure build up over your body. This pressure is worse where your body presses down the most. This can lead to pressure points.

Memory foam eliminates pressure points by moulding to the exact contours of your body. When you lie on memory foam your body presses down just the same as on a sprung mattress. But where it differs is the way memory foam responds. Memory foam doesn’t push back. Instead it softens. Where your body pressed down the hardest is where the foam softens the most. Where your body presses down less the foam remains a little firmer, offering a high level of support where you need it. An unlike springs, it doesn’t push back against your body.
