Visco mattress installation guide

Visco mattress from Zleeps makes life easy after your mattress arrives. When your mattress is delivered it comes packaged in a slightly different way to a standard mattress. When you order a standard mattress it is simply stacked in a lorry and delivered to your door. You then need to somehow get this huge rectangle up to your bedroom. Corners and head clearance on the stairwell pose major logistical issues. A memory foam mattress is different. It comes rolled up and vacuum packed in clear, two layer packaging. This makes it much easier to get the mattress up to your room!
You can find out how and why we use the mattress roll system here.
Removing your old mattress
Unfortunately you will still have to get rid of your worn, old mattress. Getting this down the stairs won’t be as easy as getting your new one up, but it will be worth it in the end. Take a look at this information provided by Directgov regarding how to get rid of your mattress.
Mattress set up
Once you have gotten rid of your old mattress it is easy to set up your new memory foam mattress.
- Check the base. Make sure it has no screws or nails protruding.
- Remove the packing of the mattress, do not use a sharp object you may damage the mattress cover.
- Place the mattress on the bed base.
- Allow the mattress to rise. Ideally you should allow 24 hours for this, but this is not a strict rule.
- Make the bed with your favourite sheets, pillows and duvet.
- Get ready for as great night's sleep!
It might take a couple of weeks to get used to a memory foam mattress if you haven’t slept on one before. This is because it is quite a different way of sleeping. Soon though you will not want to sleep on anything else and you will really notice the pressure caused by standard beds when you spend a night away from home!
